one and only sauna in Auckland. therefore no choice. it's with indoor and outdoor facilities. pool, hot tub, tv room, dry and wet sauna, private rooms and hygienical showers (douch ) included. lube and condoms available.costs only 20NZ$. Nothing to complain. Do your duty after using the facilities to keep the place clean rather than complaining about the cleaniness.met few nice guys. thank u.

Lovely outdoor area. However, the premises has poor hygiene and needs to be regularly cleaned. Not the safest environment.

Unfortunately when we were there the place was freezing and when I freezing I mean really darn cold. Compared to the place we usually go Wingate was less than stellar. It appears to be a Framos made structure which is not ideal for too much internal moisture. The upside? Great showers and a pretty good hot tub with a sauna with a window to see everything. Parking is bonkers! The place is built at the bottom of a hill so carparking is at a 45 to 54 degree slope. I'm pretty sure I caught an infection from there and have since had antibiotics to sort that out. I've been to saunas in Bangkok that were way cleaner that this place. On a personal note I'll never go back.

The staff especially Ken " the manager" are very aggressive. Became irrate when I parked in a different area than the poorly designed motorcycle area. Parking in the front of the bike area in such a way as not impede the bicycles was not acceptable. He started yelling and ranting. He would not look for a solution. My strong advice is to avoid this business and their unstable staff. This could be the best sauna in New Zealand, but sadly, it is just well below standard. The indoor spa is broken, with no bubbles working. The temperature is usually just tepid and murky, and is often overfilled. In one word, it is grotty. There are old doormats in areas to stop slipping, but they create a squidgy, unpleasant experience. The showers are okay, but this is 2025; communally used bars of soap are just not acceptable and disgusting. Get soap dispensers. Put enough hooks on the walls for towels, have staff regularly clean the rooms, and have the outdoor pool painted; god knows what bacteria are being harboured in it.
