I rarely write reviews, but this hotel was one of the worst experiences I've had. Not safe. Not clean. Never again! For the price I paid, I expected a room that was at least clean and secure. Instead, I was given a room with a broken lock, stains on the walls, and small stones from the beach scattered across the floor, suggesting it had not been cleaned properly after the previous guests. The room was unbearably hot, and the tiny fan provided was completely inadequate. Opening the windows wasn't a solution because the surrounding buildings' air conditioning units were so loud that sleeping was almost impossible. What was most concerning, however, was witnessing two women at reception calling the police after alleging that the receptionist had tried to follow them to their room. Whether or not an investigation followed, seeing this unfold made us feel completely unsafe staying at the hotel. Overall, the cleanliness, lack of basic maintenance, and serious concerns about guest safety made this an unacceptable stay. I would not return and cannot recommend this hotel. (Location is great but would rather walk or travel further for basic safety and cleanliness)

It wasn't my first time staying here - and it definitely won't be my last :-) The guy working behind the desk was very helpful and kind. The lady who offered room service was very nice. The view from my room was beautiful. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends and family for whenever they want to find a place to stay in Brighton :)

Staying here currently but wanted to leave a good review because there are lots of really bad ones so need to balance them out I think. Staying for two nights and I've stayed here for one so far, and I'll be brutally honest, for the price + location, I'm very happy. I was nervous checking in because of other reviews, not gonna lie, but it's perfect for a room to stay in if you're not planning on being in the room all day. For sleep and shower, it's great. Few little nit picky things that I won't go into because this is like a third of the price of any other seafront hotel! Easy 4 stars minimum. Wooden floors are much better than carpet also.

Awful hotel. Had to leave before our reservation ended. All night there was loud stomping and dragging above us which made it impossible to sleep. The lock on our room didn’t work which made us feel very unsafe. The people working there were terrible, we tried to ask a basic question and the guy at the front desk had to call someone and we had to speak to him through the phone. They were very rude when we complained about the noise. And no tea, only coffee. The bathroom wasn’t in the room which was NOT advertised to us, and we were just shut into a basement room which we were also not advised about. The man at reception also gave me and my partner an attitude when we explained why we wanted to check out early. Horrible hotel, do not recommend. Horrible service.

Very nice hotel, nice room, though the corridors are a bit of a maze. The view from my room wasn’t too great but that’s just Brighton streets for you. Had a nice one night stay though. And the location is great, very central, just by the beach.
