Legends Hotel

I absolutely loved staying at Legends Hotel. I originally booked just one night, but I enjoyed it so much that I decided to stay an extra day. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are lovely, and the views are beautiful. Liss at reception is an absolute sweetheart, and not only her — all the hotel staff and the bar team were incredibly friendly, welcoming and kind. The location is also perfect: very close to the centre, surrounded by lovely restaurants and nice places, and only about two minutes walking from the beach. When I come back to Brighton, I already know where I’ll stay. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

You cannot fault Legends for its location, right on the front overlooking the beach, the one remaining pier and the sea. The rooms are small but well appointed and maintenance throughout the premises is of a very high standard. My sea-view room was perfect for people watching; during the European heatwave in late June, folk were swimming at 4am! I found the shower tray very slippy and, on several occasions, nearly came a cropper. My TV wasn't working and, although it was the World Cup, I was happy to watch it on my tablet, although ITVX thought I was abroad so wouldn't let me! (They did offer me a room change, but I was settled in and didn't do it. A maintenance guy did sort it on the 2nd day of my stay.) The Room cards say breakfast starts at 0700, but it doesn't, it is half an hour later. You can opt for a traditional English or three types of poached eggs on muffins with Hollandaise sauce, which was perfect to have something different on each of my three mornings. The young man on night duty didn't take kindly to being told he shouldn't be vaping indoors; his arrogant response was not typical of all the other staff who were all really friendly and keen to help. I had lunch on one day; ham, egg and chips, which was just the job. Their menu offering is pretty basic fare but clearly suits their market. Owing to a glitch, they had taken two deposits from me in April. Having experienced the reception computer crashing several times during my stay, it's clear they need to spend some cash on making improvements to their IT. Despite giving them a print out of my original failed booking, as well as an extract from my bank account showing the duplicate payment, they still haven't repaid my £26.50. One member of staff even had the temerity to tell me it was my fault for making two bookings, rather than their dodgy IT. In summary, great location,small rooms, well maintained premises and decent breakfasts.

This is a classic bar to visit in Brighton if you haven't been before. Great place to try. It's very lgbtqia+ friendly. This place can be cool. The people are lovely and friendly. Including the security. The main thing that let it down during the heatwave, is they didn't even have any fans on, let alone air con 🥵 because of this I'd avoid this place during hot days.

The room we had was relatively small but we only stayed here for one night so was perfect for us. I could see the pier from the room (we were on the side of the building so I could glimpse it when I looked out. Staff were all brilliant! The lady who checked us in was so lovely and inviting (I was 6 months pregnant so we chatted a little!) the staff who served breakfast were also so lovely and nothing was any trouble! Shower was a bit dodgy but worked for us. I would recommend this place but if you go for a smaller room I wouldn't stay for too long as not alot of space! Yes there is an underground nightclub but it does say this in the description when booking so we expect d noise!! We would stay here again as it was such a reasonable price for the seafront and only 2 mins away from Volks nightclub where we attended ☺️

Location is absolutely fantastic. The views are incredible from this hotel. Yes, the music is loud, and it went on until 6am, but I had my ear plugs and wouldn't have known if my husband didn't tell me :D We'd kindly been given a room on the 4th floor, which we were grateful for (there is a little lift too). The staff all seem lovely, and in the evening there are security staffing the entrance. Rooms are dated and small, but spotless, comfy and there is a kettle and tea, coffee and shower gel. In short ; good value for money and if a lively atmosphere is your thing, you'll love it. *No parking
