Legends Hotel

You cannot fault Legends for its location, right on the front overlooking the beach, the one remaining pier and the sea. The rooms are small but well appointed and maintenance throughout the premises is of a very high standard. My sea-view room was perfect for people watching; during the European heatwave in late June, folk were swimming at 4am! I found the shower tray very slippy and, on several occasions, nearly came a cropper. My TV wasn't working and, although it was the World Cup, I was happy to watch it on my tablet, although ITVX thought I was abroad so wouldn't let me! (They did offer me a room change, but I was settled in and didn't do it. A maintenance guy did sort it on the 2nd day of my stay.) The Room cards say breakfast starts at 0700, but it doesn't, it is half an hour later. You can opt for a traditional English or three types of poached eggs on muffins with Hollandaise sauce, which was perfect to have something different on each of my three mornings. The young man on night duty didn't take kindly to being told he shouldn't be vaping indoors; his arrogant response was not typical of all the other staff who were all really friendly and keen to help. I had lunch on one day; ham, egg and chips, which was just the job. Their menu offering is pretty basic fare but clearly suits their market. Owing to a glitch, they had taken two deposits from me in April. Having experienced the reception computer crashing several times during my stay, it's clear they need to spend some cash on making improvements to their IT. Despite giving them a print out of my original failed booking, as well as an extract from my bank account showing the duplicate payment, they still haven't repaid my £26.50. One member of staff even had the temerity to tell me it was my fault for making two bookings, rather than their dodgy IT. In summary, great location,small rooms, well maintained premises and decent breakfasts.

Stayed here recently. The hotel itself is okay. It’s a bit dated, but clean enough and the staff were friendly. My biggest issue is the parking. The hotel advertises that it has parking, but that’s not really the case. It’s just on-street parking, and finding a space was a nightmare. I spent around 40 minutes driving around before I finally found somewhere to park. To make matters worse, my car was scratched overnight. If you’re travelling by car, I’d seriously think twice. The hotel really needs to be much clearer about the parking situation.

Legends is, without question, one of the best venues in Brighton. Whether you're staying in the hotel, enjoying a drink on the terrace, or dancing the night away in the club, there's something really special about this place. Perfectly located in the heart of the LGBTQ+ village on the seafront, the terrace is a fantastic place to relax in the sunshine with beautiful sea views. It's one of my favourite spots in the city. What really sets Legends apart, though, are the people. Erica, the owner, genuinely pours her heart and soul into the business. She's kind, patient, thoughtful, and a true champion of the community. You can see how much she cares, not just about the venue, but about the people who walk through the door. The bar staff are brilliant. Service is always quick and professional, but never rushed or impersonal. They make time to chat, remember people, and make everyone feel welcome, while somehow keeping everything running incredibly smoothly, even when it's busy. Downstairs, the nightclub has an amazing atmosphere. The DJs are consistently excellent, the music is spot on, and there's always a fantastic mix of people creating a fun, friendly vibe. The drag cabaret is outstanding, with incredibly talented performers putting on brilliant shows night after night. The security team also deserve a special mention. They're approachable, professional, and genuinely care about people's wellbeing. On the rare occasion anything needs dealing with, they handle it so calmly and efficiently that most people barely notice. It's reassuring to know they're always there if you need them. The venue is always clean, well run, and well stocked, and the attention to detail really shows throughout. If you're staying in Brighton, the hotel is a fantastic choice. The rooms are elegant, comfortable, and beautifully presented. More importantly, the whole team makes you feel like more than just a guest. Whether you're staying overnight, popping in for a drink, or spending the evening in the club, you're made to feel part of the Legends family. Brighton has plenty of great places, but Legends truly stands out. I honestly couldn't recommend it more.

I absolutely loved staying at Legends Hotel. I originally booked just one night, but I enjoyed it so much that I decided to stay an extra day. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are lovely, and the views are beautiful. Liss at reception is an absolute sweetheart, and not only her — all the hotel staff and the bar team were incredibly friendly, welcoming and kind. The location is also perfect: very close to the centre, surrounded by lovely restaurants and nice places, and only about two minutes walking from the beach. When I come back to Brighton, I already know where I’ll stay. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

This is a classic bar to visit in Brighton if you haven't been before. Great place to try. It's very lgbtqia+ friendly. This place can be cool. The people are lovely and friendly. Including the security. The main thing that let it down during the heatwave, is they didn't even have any fans on, let alone air con 🥵 because of this I'd avoid this place during hot days.
