About FLEX Spa Los Angeles

Flex Spa in LA is pretty much an iconic hangout in the gay community. Think of it as your chill zone with a twist – it's got all the spa vibes with a social kick. Located right off the 101 on Melrose Ave, Flex is super easy to get to, which is a big plus. The place has got the works – an outdoor pool where you can catch some rays, a gym for a quick pump, and of course, a steam room to sweat it out. It's not just about relaxing though; this place is a great spot to meet new people. Whether you're lounging by the pool or chilling in one of their video lounges, you're bound to bump into someone interesting. Flex is part of a chain started by Charles Fleck. The guy was a legend for pushing health and safety in the gay community. We're talking free condoms and HIV testing – serious stuff.

Flex is legendary. The staff is top-notch. The facility is exactly what it needs to be when it needs to be it. I’ve been coming to Flex for many years and I’ve always enjoyed my time here. My favorite spots are the patio by the pool, being in the Jacuzzi, and the double-tiered video room. There’s a lot more to being gay than just sex. While many think being gay is only about same-sex attraction, it’s incredibly nuanced and very complex. I find Flex helps ease the complexities of GAY with a crew who not only keep us safe but also manages and cleans this quietly storied spa that is open 24/7. 🤩 And the clientele rarely disappoint. Many have become my friends. We catch up with each other sunning on the pool loungers. And safety is of the utmost concern at Flex. That’s why they have a zero tolerance for alcohol and a drug policy. There’s a lot of bitter people in Los Angeles who were unable to follow that policy and are now not welcomed back at Flex. I wonder if any of these negative reviews are simple bits of retribution due to banishment from one of LA’s last great gay spas. Flex is a solid place to go for gays. It’s also really helpful to remind yourself not to get butt-hurt if the fantasies you have on your way to Flex don’t come true at the end of your stay. Because they rarely will. Just know some will come true and you never know when that’s gonna be. Please be respectful to everyone you see, especially the crew. Because we gays have a responsibility that we’ve had since the dawn of man - GAY men set the gold standard for civility around the world. We must start by always being civil towards each other. Love you, brothers. Have fun at Flex.❤️

Grezt place to hang out. Never been here and parking sucks but its not necessarily the plzce thzts the problrm. Facility is clean and all rooms where gone. Lockerd hzd places to sit. Enjoyed the swimming pool and hott tub and pario outside areas. Showplay in Dark room very few prople go there. So kinda boring when dont have a room. Showers are open and tzke along time to hear up. Perhaps they need on demand wzter heaters that heat up in seconds anf don't need a water tank. Just suggestion. Staff here is great anf friendly and helpful.

I love that this place exist. There are very few places you can feel welcomed & comfortable owning ones sexually. The amenities offered are a great perk. I love that they have a complete gymnasium, sauna, swimming pool, & different room sizes available. It's a safe place to be Self-Authenticity or be oneself. And there are a diversity of Men from different countries & Ethnic backgrounds. The staff are very attentive & do their best to maintain the facility. As cliental we should also try doing our part. I would like to see a darkroom with dividers & multi-holes in place where the steam room used to be. It's the people that make you want to come back, & sometimes it can just take that one guy leaves a positive impression on you that gets you to fantasize more experiences to come. And yes the facility can also use a few touch ups here & there, but that's why customer commitment to Flex could help achieve that I think by allocating funding to project where they are needed. Thank you Flex Staff for helping to foster memorable sex-positive experiences for everyone.

Not as bad as people make it out to be. But it’s hard to compare with saunas in other countries as this place is old and dreary. The two open play areas and the outdoor area are the saving graces. The steam room is currently under construction. The sauna is luke warm at best. There is a fully equipped gym which is a plus. A membership is required. The staff is friendly. This place does the job.

Looking for the closest slice of gay paradise here in Los Angeles? As a local I know that I am! The space here is forever improving with always something new. I am always looking forward towards seeing Narciso here because he makes me feel safe, at home and welcomed. The building facilities are typically clean and you can see the staff works hard and fast for the guests in attendance. My personal favorite thing to look forward to is the new weekly BBQ on Sundays. Now, I do think that management has had its battles with typical situations that may occur but they are always responsive and handle everything with care. I can't wait to see more gradual improvements and exciting things Flex has to offer. -Ricky Najjar
