Sauna G.I. Joe

I’ve visited this place many times, but boy, oh boy, this weekend’s experience with the front desk was disappointing. I understand the job can be stressful, but please don’t take that frustration out on your customers. If a credit card is declined, there’s no need to raise your voice or embarrass someone. In my case, it turned out to be an issue with the pin pad the exact same card worked perfectly on a second terminal. A little patience and consideration go a long way. Customer service is just as important as the service you provide.

This was a very bad experience for us. The staff was very rude and not encouraging to enjoy our stay. We also went in with wrong expectations: there is not a single cabin one can use for free. Also no free fresh towels. Every little piece is for upselling - only exception is the free soap at the showers. They probably gonna change that for a coin-operated dispenser after this review. You‘re welcome! No real bar. The adult movies showing mostly boring actors. If you don’t pay for any of the cabins you’re left to use the glory holes that’s it. Four levels basically for nothing. No possibility to regulate the temperature of the showers. The hot tub has seen better days. It would have been different if the guy at the entrance at least had told us a little bit how things are running here - as we clearly indicated we’re not from Montreal. This experience made me wish not being queer. But hey. You win some, you loose some.

I have been to many gay bathhouses or saunas in many different cities. I will say this one is my favorite because of the variety of guys, and because of the many places to play. I am shallow and superficial sexually. There were more “hot” guys there than I have seen at other gay bathhouses or saunas. With that being said, there was also just guys of average looks, older guys, younger guys, short, tall, thin, muscular, etc. There are at least 4 floors with rooms, lockers, restrooms, small shower or restroom areas, and small “play” spaces. One floor has a steam room, dry sauna, and jacuzzi. Another floor has a large, dark play area with booths and gloryholes. Also, there is a large lounge area on the roof!

Lovely place several different levels and definitely leads heavier on the cruising aspect than other Bath houses I have attended. Respectful and polite staff! Very accommodating towards the language barrier as I personally don’t speak French and only speak English and was not rude about that language barrier in the slightest, which was a nice change from oasis. Good diverse variety of people everyone respected each other’s boundaries From my personal experience. Also had a good variety in different locations and set ups to engage in. If I had one critique, I would say that the $28 fee for just a locker and a towel was a bit shocking. However I would say that it was worth it just based on the sheer mass of Location. If I remember correctly, there is four floors in the basement? Along with a terrace on the top floor. (Which I did not use because I attended during The winter) if I had one critique is, I wish there was more sauna areas and possibly a better Pool/hot tub set up but overall a great place! If you’re thinking of going to a bathhouse in Montreal, this would be the top pick!

The only thing I could say is not that good is that there is a lot of old guys usually, so avoid going mornings, they are very intense as just stay there watching you and don’t move or try to touch you everywhere , and also cleaning sometimes seems to be an opportunity. Best place in Montreal to find a lot of action, different places around the building where you can stay depending on what you like, just relax, more action, dark places.
