About Glamorous Birmingham

Glamorous Birmingham is where Birmingham gay nightlife goes when everywhere else starts feeling sensible. Right on Hurst Street, this unapologetically late LGBTQ+ bar and club is built around DJs, drag, cheap-and-cheerful drinks and a party crowd that often does not properly arrive until after midnight — then keeps going until 6am. If you are searching for a late-night gay club in Birmingham, an after-hours bar in the Gay Village or somewhere to squeeze one more dancefloor out of the night, Glamorous is the obvious answer. The vibe is high-energy and unpretentious rather than polished, with chart hits, pop and drag-led entertainment seven nights a week. Come rested; this is very much the place for people who think 2am is an intermission.

What to expect

A deliberately late, loud LGBTQ+ party bar. Expect pop, DJs, drag and a crowd that gets busier after midnight rather than earlier in the evening.

Practical tips before you visit

Open until 06:00, making Glamorous one of Birmingham Gay Village’s main after-hours options.
Challenge 25 operates; accepted ID includes passport, driving licence and PASS-hologram cards.
The venue can be substantially busier after other Gay Village bars begin closing.
Opening hours can shift around special events and Pride weekends.
Last entry is normally 04:30, even though the venue stays open until 06:00.

I visited this place yesterday and was really disappointed with the experience. I was wearing my comfortable Birkenstock shoes, but I was denied entry because they were deemed unacceptable. The staff required that I purchase cheap foam flip-flops for £5 in order to be allowed inside. Make it make sense?? Like what????….It didn’t make sense to me because my shoes felt safer and more appropriate than the flip-flops. Eventually, I was asked to leave because they didn’t have my size in the required footwear, and I wasn’t offered any refund despite having been there for only a few minutes. Overall, I found the policy confusing and the experience frustrating. I hope they can improve their customer service and policies in the future. I’ve visited this place a few times and had no problem, due to all this because of shoes then venue definitely missed out on the opportunity to make money from me and my friends. Never had an issue with this place before, I’ve been here on multiple occasions with my Birkenstock shoes - their new door lady (older, white hair) was a total disgrace to me. So rude. Me and my friends were not drunk during this interaction may I add also. I suggest you fire that new door lady, she’s a incredibely rude. Feel free to check your CCTV too. Not coming again

I came here with a group of 8 people total and come on a Wednesday with an hour and half till close then talk to the person taking money and I ask if it was possible to have some sort of break on the entrance fee considering i am coming with multiple people but I was told it was £7 per person. I ask how many people were downstairs and the person had a counter and he checked it said 53 people downstairs which isn't busy. I believe we were treated with being left out of inclusivity. We all had money to spend but the variables on us coming inside was lost in translation. Thank you.
