Outside Sauna in Belfast is a cool spot for gay and bisexual guys to hang out, right in the middle of the city's LGBT area. It's the only gay sauna in Northern Ireland and it's got a really laid-back vibe. The place is open all day and night on weekends, and stays open late on Thursdays too, so it's easy to fit into any schedule.
When you go there, you'll find a chill lounge area where you can just relax and meet people. They've got private cabins too, if you're looking for some quiet time. Plus, they take care of your stuff with secure lockers. They also throw some fun themed events every now and then, which shakes things up a bit.

I went to Belfast for a day from Dublin last Saturday. I was there about 5 years ago, and I am shocked that nothing has improved. It still won’t accept cards, only cash. The whole place badly needs an update and a deep clean. The cubicles are dirty and need a fresh coat of paint. In the toilets, there is an awful smell. There are a lot of moulds on the ceilings, and some are damaged. I can't believe they have let standards drop so low. In Dublin’s Sauna “The Boilerhouse,” the standards are very high—very clean, friendly staff, and some areas have already been renovated, which is really good. I would never go back again unless it has been fully renovated.Mark R

The day I visited I guess they were trying to save on there heating bill was absolutely freezing. I ended up leaving after 20 minutes. I was so cold. And empty really needs renovationMark Chapman

Website takes you to something based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Was put off trying these place as has no legitimate website or way of viewing it. Locals in gay bars warned me off of the basis of poor customer experience. If the website allowed you to view and interact with the business that might make it more approachable but without a legitimate site it’s very off putting and backs up word of mouth suggestions.robert newberry

The experience wasn't great. The place needs updating and cleaning.There is a few things out of order.The guy behind the counter was funny and put us at ease.There wasn't many guys there. It needs some servere TLC. It the steam room wasn't working when we visited. The dry sauna is large and clean, the jacuzzi is large. The play area is quite large with plenty of rooms and areas to visit. But the layout is odd. It's all over the place, the showers and some of the places need some money spending on them.In all honesty it's one of the worst saunas I've been to for a long time.y ry

just a friendly advice, please go to Primark and buy some cheap pairs of slippers that you can rent for a pound or two, or three to prevent people from getting fungs from the filth and dirt all over your sauna. Plus the towels stink. The whole place stinks. Make a trip to some such establishments elsewhere to get ideas of improvement.Tony Ferreira

I went last weekend. I had a great experience. The Sauna is very clean. The areas are nice too. Jacuzzi is big just like a pool. Not many men, but nice ones. Price is good the only problem is that they only accept cash in hand.y ry

I have always enjoyed the experience here, but I feel that the business here is getting worse and worse, and there are fewer and fewer young and old customers. I think it's a pity. I hope the owner can reorganize and attract handsome men and young people back here.Sahara Page

This place really needs a good deep clean. Showers were filthy. I saw dead flys and mould on the windowsill, and a used condom in the shower, and the shower heads were caked in limescale and mould. Also no soap in the two dispensers and the radiator wasn’t working (or the heating wasn’t on)The toilets also need a good scrubbing and some bleach, particularly the urinal downstairs - absolutely filthy.Upstairs, some of the cubicles had used tissues/condoms scattered over the floors and beds, and I didn’t see anyone clean them for the entirety of the time that I was there, which was a good 4/5 hours.The owner needs to visit some Saunas in England to see how it should be done.Patrick Breslin

Guy that works here accused me of taking photos with my phone and want to check when it was in my locker. Then he flips his lid every time I say something he's a complete nut job then he threw my bag down the stairs I wanted to throw him down because he wanted to throw me down too.freaky.Zu Zeffer

To be honest, I like this place very much. There are many handsome men in it. However, I have to say that the hygiene here really needs a lot of improvement. I used to go here often, but in September I contracted scabies here. This skin disease is very difficult to cure. I hope to improve the hygiene environment, otherwise I dare not visit here again.JJ CY

It’s a cash only sauna. The heaters are not working properly to keep you warm enough. It’s located in the gay areas, so lots of drunkards just came from the bars and clubs across street.Ted MED

I went there a few days ago for the first time and to some extent I enjoyed the experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and generally the people attending were nice too. I didn't see any bad attitude. However, a couple of things struck me: 1) hygiene was glaringly absent. There was bad smell in a number of places and one could see that areas near toilets were not cleaned properly. 2) There was no lubricant to be seen and this is very risky as we all know why. I would still go there again and I hope management pay attention to constructive comments.Richard Brown

A lot to improve on.Steam room hasn't been working for years.Shower near sauna doesn't even have somewhere to hang your towel.Can be very cold for lack of heating and showers are very unpredictable for warm water!The place was a lot more on the ball when it had competition!Spoof Y

Decided to check out outside leisure sauna, finally. Really liked it there, very spread out, stayed there for about a full 10 hours. Got very busy during that time, and i got surprisingly lucky - dark room was major fun. Great atmosphere, both staff and crowd. Sauna was an oven - meaning it was in peak performance, i enjoyed being in it. The jacuzzi is indeed large, deeper than i thought too - i would say though that a tip would be BYOG to keep the water out your eyes - (bring your own goggles). I'll certainly return again, guys i definitely recommend visiting the place.Jack Sloan

Staff are very friendly apart from one bad egg. The place could do with a kick off paint. The floor in toilet could do with a good scrap deck scrub then moped. Upstairs the walls need cleaned. Also the shower needs scrub as it's never done. Beside the steats needs cleaned. The peep holes needs dusted the roofs off them. The seats needs cleaned and under them also the floors in them all five. No dusting done all over. No shower gel all used. Urials smell when they are blocked up. There BLEACH used at all . There needs to be Air fresheners around the place. Needs to be more than 4 cups. The walls in the main showers needs scrub. Dry Sunna would need moped out also bleached out.Mark Jones

This place is very downmarket. Rarely clean and very few guys. Website doesn’t even function now to know if any events. Would be good to see opposition open.
