The Maverick

Belfast visitor here. International. Wanted to find a LGBT place to have a drink, stumbled into this establishment. Mostly women, which is fine, and a drag show/karaoke/lip synch going on. They have speciality cocktails. I ordered a Bounty Hunter and OMG, it was delicious! I wish I had stayed for another drink but I wanted to check out another place across the street, which I totally regret doing (see my other review). I definitely loved the cocktail here, including the wonderful cup it came in.

Probably the best queer place in Belfast! Free entry, amazing atmosphere and drag shows, decent drinks and activities.

The only LGBTQ bar I'd go to in Belfast although there isn't much choice. Good drink selection, good music, decent Cabaret depending when you go and there's little aggro. Great for a few jars and a chat. If it's very busy, it gets very cramped inside, and service from some of the bar staff isn't the most friendly sometimes. A good outdoor seating and standing area which has made a lot of difference too. We need more choice in Belfast but I like coming here.

I love this venue usually but it turned down me and my good friendly crew. They stopped me reaching my carer who was upstairs and never been issue. Cause the.Couldn’t find him. Not a good enough excuse so shouldn’t be used c for me an autistic perso finding my carers but it was. I hate being autism and finding this

Went back to the place with my boyfriend a few weeks ago and it was a better experience than the last 2 times and loved it. (my boyfriend at the time) Update: Been there a few times lately, enjoyed it. Cheers to Elaine and Sophie for making me feel safe and happy, especially on account of my autism
