About Regent Bar

The Regent - Edinburgh's LGBT+ Real Ale Pub. Voted Edinburgh Pub Of The Year 2010 by the Campaign for Real Ale. Deuchars IPA on handpump plus two guest ales and a real cider - Westons Old Rosie. Edinburgh's Gay Community pub. Always warm and comfortable with no loud music so you're always able to chat with friends. You might hear The Beatles, Frank Zappa or a touch of World music interspersed with Ella Fitzgerald or Dvořák. Food is served daily until 10pm. We know we are not a "Gastro Pub" and never want to be - have you seen the size of our kitchen? People though love our macaroni cheese, our haggis, soups and nachos. Dogs are welcome but sorry, due to our alcohol license restrictions, children under 5 years are not allowed. People under 18 years are allowed until 8pm if accompanied by a responsible adult.

We loved this pub! The atmosphere was super cozy, we wished we could have stayed longer. The owners were very friendly and everyone there seemed nice too. We'll definitely be back ✨🫶🏼

Very friendly staff. Warm & welcoming. Great vibe, fantastic place to greet, meet, have a conversation, and make new friends. Regent doesn't serve food but does have popcorn, olives, pickles, & other little snacks. Drink prices are reasonable.

I very quickly fell in love with this bar after only one visit. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy, and the staff are very friendly. Its the perfect place to hang out and be yourself. I will definitely be making a return visit when I can!

Cozy neighborhood pub with very friendly staff. They play great music and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming. A bit of a trek from touristy area so this makes the pub a little inclusive gem with local patrons, both gay and straight people.

I spent three days in Edinburgh and came to Regent every night! Great atmosphere and trans friendly staff. They have great selection of beers and tasty snacks too. Also all the bartenders were lovely and made me feel at home. I definitely recommend. Cheers for Ed and Josh.
