About Regent Bar

The Regent is Edinburgh’s easy-going LGBT+ community pub for people who would rather talk over a good pint than shout over a dancefloor. It sits just beyond the Pink Triangle on Montrose Terrace and has the feel of a friendly neighbourhood local, with sofas, board games and a broad mix of regulars. Beer is the main event, including rotating cask ales, cider and local or international taps, alongside wine, spirits and alcohol-free choices. Music stays at background level, making this one of the city’s best queer options for a catch-up or a quieter evening.

Tables for up to eight can be reserved Monday to Thursday; weekends are walk-in only.

I very quickly fell in love with this bar after only one visit. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy, and the staff are very friendly. Its the perfect place to hang out and be yourself. I will definitely be making a return visit when I can!

Cozy neighborhood pub with very friendly staff. They play great music and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming. A bit of a trek from touristy area so this makes the pub a little inclusive gem with local patrons, both gay and straight people.

If you are looking for a LGBTQ friendly bar that is more of a pub experience this is your place. The night we went it was super chill. You can have a conversation and they even have games for you to play. Definitely a laid back experience.

Very friendly staff. Warm & welcoming. Great vibe, fantastic place to greet, meet, have a conversation, and make new friends. Regent doesn't serve food but does have popcorn, olives, pickles, & other little snacks. Drink prices are reasonable.
