The Brighton Birdcage

A hidden LGBT gem in the ultra trendy North Laine area of Brighton. I had a lovely chat with one of the owners, Nick who tells me it’s not only the go-to for makeup and wigs, but also stocks a great range of cushion, t-shirts & jewellery. I arrived right at closing time today and, despite that, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. They gave me all the time I needed to try on everything I was interested in buying, without making me feel rushed at all. The products are really well made, prices are very reasonable (if not even a bit lower than average), and there’s a great range of sizes available. I’m genuinely so happy with my purchases and glad to have supported this business. Thank you guys, a presto!

Wain is just an absolute joy. Gave solid advice on foundation shades, and has a plethora of gorgeous costumes, heels, wigs and makeup for the drag/trans community. Highly recommend The Brighton Birdcage for all of the drag essentials. Thank you so much!

I went in for a look and to ask some questions and all I can say is WOW! Nick was so friendly and could probably tell I was nervous (understatement) but he was lovely and unbelievably helpful 😊.
