The Roses of Elagabalus

Came here on a Saturday night around 11pm and saw quite a long queue it gave me an impression of a cool place but the crowd in the line was not the most pleasant one🥲 cus there were some girls trying to push in front of us.. like.. wha When we got inside I could see that the place is really pretty, especially loved the bathroom design (even though there was no hot water 😬). The service was really lovely - the staff paid a lot of attention to us and were super helpful with drinks. In the end I chose a hibiscus drink with rum and my bf one with tequila (I liked his better🫣) There was also a downstairs basement area with a small dance floor, which was actually really cool but lowkey felt tiny. Music was fine🎶 The whole venue is quite compact, which probably explains the queue but it also adds to the charm of the place and its “scarcity”🙊 The only thing that made us not stay that long was that the crowd was mostly adults with barely any young people. I think if I saw younger and cooler people I would dance much longer🕺🏻(but maybe it’s my problem and I get influenced my my surroundings sm) Overall, a really cool spot with a great interior and service👻

Had wonderful weekday birthday drinks here last month. The decor and atmosphere is stylish and exquisite but still comfy. Craig took fantastic care of our party -- made us feel welcome and remembered whose Irresponsible Husband was whose amidst slightly chaotic drink ordering.

Fantastic venue for queers! Been a regular since it opened almost a year ago and have loved every aspect, from the impeccable design, to the delicious food and classic cocktails, to the incredible cabaret performances on Wednesdays. I had the dirty chicken fries and martini deal for £30, but they substituted for me a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail which the bartender made to order once I described what kind of flavour profile cocktails I normally like.

Checked out this new gay bar / social spot with my friend and we absolutely loved our experience! This bar stands to give a unique experience to queer people in London that is sophisticated and camp. We received warm and attentive service (shoutout to Kaz) who was very knowledgeable about the drinks and personable. It’s more cocktail leaning with unique liquors with an extensive off-menu for more standard cocktails. The theme is art deco, prohibition-era (speakeasy) inspired. It also seems to have multiple activities available like an erotic library, a downstairs bar area, a restaurant and a cabaret night once a week to be rolled out soon. The venue itself is quite large with 2 floors and multiple rooms so it’s nice to see queer venues actually take up space. We had a lovely time as a lesbian and a gay man and will be coming back soon!

One of the most beautifully designed venues i’ve ever been to. Will definitely return. Drinks were great. DJ was great. We had an awesome time. Only slight annoyances: the stickers used to cover phone cameras (great idea) are a pain to get off, and (hard to manage) but there were some people who were not queer friendly making jokes about others.
