About Twist

TWIST reopened in April 2025 at Klappergasse 12 in Alt-Sachsenhausen. The relocated bar serves cocktails and hosts late-night party evenings with chart, 1990s and house music. This is the current address of the former Gelbehirschstraße listing; use the operator’s announcements for each night’s programme.

Use Klappergasse 12 in Sachsenhausen; the former Gelbehirschstraße 10 address is no longer the correct location.

Regular Friday and Saturday party nights start at 22:00; confirm Thursday opening and special dates.

The current guide lists free admission; individual special events can have different arrangements.

Weekend nights can be busy; check the programme and arrive early if you prefer a quieter start.

Coolest chill Bar, you need to try it when you are in Frankfurt. Is not big but they have amazing stuff and the music are so cool. If you are going ppl vibe kinda person Twist is the best place. Lastly, on the street of Twist you can find any bars and clubs of your choice.

Despite how you'd assume based on the pictures and reviews, this is not a bar for queer people. Usually empty, and the few people that do come here are rarely even allys. Sadly can't reccomend :(

Since the Twist moved it‘s been not the same unfortunately. The location is now small like a shoebox so around 15 people can fit in. Unfortunately it‘s not a gay bar anymore! According to the staff they say they want to let anyone in, which makes it not a safespace for gays. Doesn‘t surprise me though, a gay bar in Alt Sachsenhausen would feel very unsafe. They did Karaoke Nights for around 2 weeks before they dropped it. Staff tells me they also dropped the drag bingos. A shame. Now theres only really one gay bar in Frankfurt!
