About Blayds Bar

Blayds Bar is one of Leeds’ more intimate LGBTQ+ venues, tucked into Blayds Yard just off the main Freedom Quarter strip. The compact room and courtyard give it the feel of a neighbourhood local, with a loyal crowd and a less polished, more personal atmosphere than the larger bars nearby. The weekly programme mixes karaoke, quizzes, DJs and monthly cabaret, while daily happy hour currently runs from 17:00 to 21:00. It is a good option for a relaxed first drink before moving on to Lower Briggate, or for staying put when the entertainment suits.

A quiet intimate gay bar right in the middle of Leeds gay quarter, hidden down a alleyway but worth checking it out. Yeah the place hasn't really changed in the last 30 years since it opened but that's the appeal, I would say it's where the older ( 40+) generation hang out. Can be a bit quiet but usually fills up at the weekend. Very friendly and chatty bar staff, price for price I'd say it's on par with any other pubin Leeds for prices. Definitely recommend a visit

What a fantastic place ! We attended my daughter in laws birthday party. The place is great and all the staff were so friendly. The bar prices were cheap the Drag artists were amazing. Every one in the bar was friendly and we meet some beautiful people we will definitely be going back lots of fun great relaxed atmosphere.
