About Bloom Nightclub

Bloom was a late-night LGBTQ+ club near Manchester’s Gay Village, taking over a space previously associated with AXM. Its programme mixed DJs, drag, karaoke and themed parties, with weekend sessions that continued well into the morning. The club attracted a younger, mixed queer crowd and operated as an after-hours option once many Canal Street bars had closed. Bloom is permanently closed. Bouncers didn't let us in because they were convinced we were in a group even though we weren't. They refused to listen to reason. You have to be lucky to get in, I guess?
