About Club Aftershock
Aftershock was one of Manchester’s best-known gay house nights, running in the basement space beneath Cruz 101. Its soundtrack centred on vocal, uplifting and commercial house, with resident DJs joined by circuit guests. The Saturday-night party developed a loyal following among dancers who wanted to continue after the surrounding Gay Village bars, and its history included hosts and performers who later became major names in Manchester drag. The standalone Aftershock listing is now permanently closed. Cruz 101 continues to operate with its own current programme, which should be checked separately.
