About Club Church

Club Church in Amsterdam is the go-to spot if you're looking to dive deep into the city's most buzzing, inclusive LGBTQ+ nightlife scene. This place is all about breaking the mold, serving up theme nights that run the gamut from the steamy (think Underwear and Naked parties) to the fabulously flamboyant (Drag and Transgender extravaganzas). It's not just a club; it's a full-on experience with its dance floors, dark rooms, and private cabins where you can lose yourself in the music or find yourself in the company of new friends. But Club Church isn't just about the party. It's got a big heart, too, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a bang and throwing support behind LGBTQ+ charities, making it a real pillar of the community. They’ve got something on nearly every night, from fetish lovers' gatherings to techno bashes, ensuring that no matter your vibe, you're welcome here. Nestled in a spot that’s as central as it gets, Club Church prides itself on its unique venue—a former church turned nightlife nirvana. The place rocks a Gothic vibe with a modern twist, complete with a dance floor that stretches the length of the church and a VIP room perched on the old pulpit, giving you a bird's-eye view of the action below. And let's not forget about the sailor theme; they're all about the cruise club life, offering a mix of dance and ‘play’ areas that promise more than just your standard club night.

Went for naked night on a Wednesday around 9pm. Expected it to be quiet empty - but already plenty of action with around 20 guys. Pay your entry fee and strip to your shoes and socks, then hand your stuff into the locker room - worth brining your own bag for this purpose but they have plastic ones if not. You need to pay for drinks at the bar so keep cash or card in your socks. Drink prices are what you would expect for Amsterdam. Most of the action happens upstairs or downstairs. Good mix of locals and tourists. All ages from 18+ up. Things got hotter as the night progressed! Not as busy as Sundays but still a great night out in Amsterdam if you're visiting

I came here for the underwear.party (z)onderbroek. Music was fun, a bit techno/trancy in the beginning, later more circuit house. There is a play area upstairs and a small area with cabin downstairs. There are also showers available. While the atmosphere on the dance floor was pretty relaxed, in my opinion, I had other experiences with the cabins. Some people were trying to force their way in through the closed and locked doors while we were busy in the cabin and would be very touchy in the open area, generally. In some cases it was really close to harassment. Personally I wish they'd improve the locking system on the doors. Nonetheless, it was an interesting experience and I'd come back :)

I told my friends about this place because I had a great experience. But now I don’t ever want to go back. So my friends were there last night and they were just having a dance. At some point the bouncer violently dragged my friend outside because they thought she was drunk. But she doesn’t even drink alcohol. So this is how they treat outsiders that just wanted to have a cozy night out. Never go there the security is out of their minds and they ruined the night of my 3 friends.

Absolutely fantastic queer party and cruising space. They have different nights on different days of the week, so check their website to know what you get into. But fantastic energy. Cloak staff can be a bit stressed and grumpy but overall helpful and great fun times.

Detailed comment: Last Friday late night (May 1 to May 2), when I entered the club, a thin guy with a little bit curly long hair in the front desk told me about the entry fee and he prepared the device to pay by card but I forgot the bank card and I told him I would pay cash, he showed upset expression, that was rude and he showed no welcoming facial expression from the beginning. Inside the bar, I felt some bartenders ignored me when I tried to order a drink ( maybe because I am a short guy), that gives impression this bar has discrimination principle. When I left the bar around 3 am to 3:30 am, a big guy at the door (one of the staff) pretended as he was throwing up when I just left, even some surrounding guys called loudly ohhhhh. This behavior is non-human behavior and he acted in animalized way, so the management should take disciplinary action towards him to let him know how to behave as a human. Finally, I prefer to change the name of the club from Church to Cheers or something else because this is an insult to Christianity and I don't think you (dare) to name it with a name of a temple of other religions, so change its name into something in general not belong to a religion.

I went out of a recommendation, and I was beyond disappointed, The security personal welcome us like if we were fresh inmates on jail. Just to kick out very violently to my friend becouse she was drunk... she doesn't drink alcohol... was not even on drugs nothing! she was just having a good time and happy without bothering anyone, we were so surprised and shocked we didn't even understood what happened. It felt so unjustified and disproportionate, and from a place that is supposed to be a safe space for the queer comunity it hurts even more. 😢 the only recomendation I have its stay away from there, for your own safety! they cause material damage to her clothes and psicological to all of us. shame on them.
