About Gut Level

Gut Level is the clearest fixed home for Sheffield’s DIY queer scene. The not-for-profit members’ venue was created to provide grassroots club and cultural space, with LGBTQ+ people, women and gender minorities explicitly at the centre of its safer-space model.\n\nProgramming moves between underground club nights, DJ workshops, socials, art, activism and community activity, so the calendar matters more than a conventional bar schedule. Resident events include explicitly queer nights such as Club Rush, while Working Them’s Club and FLAW create ongoing space for LGBTQ+ and marginalised communities.

A grassroots queer members’ venue: expect underground music, workshops, community organising and a deliberately safer-space approach.

Membership is required and starts from £2 per year.

Anyone over 18 can join, subject to the membership agreement.

Went on my own to check the place out as Sheffield's queer scene is lacking, it's members only but if you fit the bill and become a member I'm sure you won't be disappointed there's a friendly queer focused community atmosphere and I can't wait to return for future events and gatherings.
