About Madison Pub
Madison Pub was a long-standing gay bar in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, best known for its relaxed, no-frills atmosphere and loyal local crowd. For many years, it offered a welcoming, low-key alternative to louder nightlife venues, making it a favorite spot for conversation, casual drinks, and community connection. With its motto “No DJs, No Cover, No Problems,” Madison Pub built a reputation as an unpretentious neighborhood bar where everyone felt at home. The venue permanently closed during the COVID-19 pandemic and has not reopened. While Madison Pub is no longer operating, it remains fondly remembered as part of Seattle’s LGBTQ+ nightlife history and a meaningful gathering place for generations of patrons.
