The Bank Bar

Found this place completely by mistake on the way to the arena for a gig. Beer was a reasonable price, music was incredibly camp and the drag DJ was hilarious. All put together, it was a brilliant hour spent here. If back in the area, then I'll be back here. Much better than the crappy trendy bars and terrible music with people in designer gear acting tough.

Shows from £1.99 and shows the Madri beer. I know it says from but show show all the beers that aren't included in the poster which falsely lead me into the pub in the first place! Had rowdy vile girls in, shouting making a noise, dropping the chairs! Aweful first experience in new castle

This bar even on a weekend is not so good. The manager threw my drink in the sink and wouldn't refund me? I'm a cancer survivor after a 11 hour operation on my neck and this manager called over a bouncer from rushtys bar who goaded me to fight him ....I'm 67 year old pensioner ? So I went elsewhere and the bouncer followed me and grabbed me at the Yard as I tried to enter ....he then hurt my cancer wound and then punched my kidneys covertly as he's a bully and coward who should be stripped of his licence. He heckled me for 10 minutes whilst I had a smoke to calm my nerves and pain I then went home sober as a judge not being allowed even a glass of water!? Stay clear of this venue at all costs

£4.20 for a bottle of Beck Blue, really? Think you need to review how much you’re charging for a non alcoholic beer as that is an absolute rip off esp when you’re the designated driver. It doesn’t bode well at all when bars are meant to be encouraging not drinking and driving.

The worst customer experience during the Bank Holiday weekend. if I could give a zero I would. We booked a table with a heater over a week in advance. We turned up and the table was missing (or the table number sticker was abd they couldn't work it out lol???) we were asked to sit at another table. After being there for 40 mins we were then asked to move again for another booking. Totally embarrassing for them and us (they have only had months to sort their act out sadly not) now we are sitting in the cold on another table! Joy
