The Lubber Fiend

I really enjoyed my visit. The bar has a community-driven, inclusive vibe, and it's always lovely when unguarded artistic exploration persists outside of the bubble of classist pretention. As a venue, they get a decent sound out of the speakers considering the size of the venue, and visibility was good throughout the space. I highly recommended a visit if you get the chance.

A great place where cool people meet. The sound at the concert was good, and there were three beautiful ladies behind the bar. Esoteric were great.

I love the Lubber Fiend from their bars at Supernormal Festival, and was so happy to finally visit the real life venue! Love it very much, exactly the best kind of DIY grass roots scene we need in the world. Their separate kitchen is also fantastic, had their fritter sandwich for lunch on giant fluffy focaccia, and a sharing menu in the evening that was the best thing I’ve eaten in ages. Went for the Ceilidh, it is once a month. Amazing atmosphere, had the time of my life dancing with friends and great music. Just something everyone should try once in their life. You do not need to be able to dance ..just turn up and join in. I felt free and uninhabited, a place where you are not judged and just excepted..and this place is amazing.

No problem getting parked, and staff were friendly. Some booth seating, which was welcome. Sound was okay and you can walk right up to the stage. Thankfully none if those restrictions you get from bigger venues such as bringing in your own food or a real camera, which makes no sense to me as everyone has a camera on their phone! Not sure about the gender neutral toilets though. I think men using a urinal in the same room as women use is a bit awkward or embarrassing for all involved.
