About Yumbo Birmingham

Yumbo Birmingham is one of the biggest changes to the city’s LGBTQ+ map in years. Open since August 2026 on Hockley Hill in the Jewellery Quarter, the multi-level venue combines a free-entry LGBTQ+ bar downstairs with a men-only gay sauna and spa upstairs — giving Birmingham a genuinely central place to drink, socialise, sweat and cruise under one roof. The sauna side includes a dry sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, private rooms, play rooms and cinema-style lounge space, while the ground-floor bar is open to everyone without membership or an entry fee. If you are searching for a gay sauna in Birmingham city centre, a queer bar in the Jewellery Quarter or somewhere that can move from cocktails into considerably less dressed territory without changing address, Yumbo is currently the obvious new arrival.

Yumbo opened on 14 August 2026.

The downstairs bar is free to enter and does not require membership.

Access beyond the bar requires sign-up; recent launch pricing listed a £15 day pass plus a one-off £5 sign-up.

The same team previously operated Just For You, which has closed.

Wouldn't recommend this place if your going for the sauna, steamroom unavailable,jacuzzi not commercial small domestic one,dirty grey water and full of public hair and when it goes off have to wait 20 mins for it to reset. Radiator on wall wires hanging down. And its only been open a week.But on a good side the bar downstairs is quite nice
