Fantasy Island Inn

This is my second stay here, and I highly recommend it. The owner, Doug, is welcoming and flexible. He allowed an early check-in; the bed is very comfortable, the shower is excellent, and the other amenities are impressive. The heated pool is great, and the location is near nightlife yet remains quiet. Doug also offers resources for beach trips. If it is available, book this place—I certainly will again.

This is a great place for a getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and stocked with water, snacks, and more. Doug was an amazing host. The pool was clean and heated. The location is half a block from Wilton Drive near many bars and restaurants. I absolutely recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

We had the most amazing weekend here! Everything about this place adds to the relaxation and escape that you're looking for in a vacation. Doug is the perfect host and he does an extraordinary job of making you feel at home, going above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet. The pool area is beautifully maintained and feels like a private tropical paradise. A huge benefit is the location, literally just steps away from all the excitement of Wilton Drive. We've already booked our next trip, can't wait to come back!

I stayed with Doug back in June and finally got back here in early January. Nothing has really changed. Doug is still an incredible host who cares deeply about the experience that his guests have. His entire facility is immaculate from the moment you step through the gate. It shows that Doug really cares. The room was beautiful, amenities abundant, atmosphere very tranquil. Just a wonderful place to chill. I'll certainly visit again.

When my husband David and I met Doug his future guesthouse was in it’s early planning stage. Through mutual friends we kept up with his progress and had hoped to be one of the first to vacation there and enjoy all the amenities. Well, because of the covid epidemic, when Doug opened his B&B to the public we were forced to hunker down at home and cancel all our travel plans for awhile. As time passed, we’d both gotten fully vaccinated and travel restrictions had eased so we headed south to Wilton Manors for a much needed vacation. Upon arrival, Doug greeted us and gave us the tour. We were amazed at how great the place looked and how much had changed since we were last there. Our accommodations were perfect. Our large room was equipped with a king-size bed, a large wardrobe to store all our clothes and a refrigerator stocked with an assortment of snacks and beverages. A coffee maker was also provided with different flavored pods for our enjoyment. Our spacious private bath had everything we needed including a very large shower. The Inn’s location is less than a block from all the action in Wilton Manors. We were able to walk to all the great restaurants, shops and bars on Wilton drive. At the end of every day we enjoyed a cocktail or two by the heated pool before calling it a night. As we did so the peacefulness made us forget all our cares and truly relax. It was then that we both realized why Doug chose the name Fantasy Island.
